Katy's Preschool teacher sent home a list of names of kids in her class to she could make valentines for everyone. So we got colored paper and stickers and Katy sat down for her first real school project. She took her time and looked at each name on the list, and then proceded to write the names of her friends on each card and sign it from Katy. She did a wonderful job writing each child's name, then she decorated each card with special stickers. She really enjoyed makeing the cards and was proud of herself! I was super-proud of her. By the end she was getting a little tired and got a little upset with herself because she messed up, but she got a new card and started over, she did great.
She was so excited to get to take the cards to school. The next morning I took her to school and walked her inside. She then took out each card, read the name, and then found the box that it should go in. She was proud of herself and excited about what a good job she had done. She is smart girl. Later that day I went to her valentine party at school where she had cupcakes and chips a lots of goodies in her homemade valentine box. She gave valentine hugs to the kids in the class and even got a special hug from her chosen valentine, Kelton. She thinks he is great and is "super-funny" to hear her say it.
And so it begins.
Heaven help us.
